| Code of Conduct |

One of the main aims of HVA is providing fair service to the consumers, setting guidelines for self-regulation of the members of HVA in cooperation and competition and in costumer relations, in this way helping the Association, creating its image and raising the goodwill of the industry by showing the credibility of HVA.
We operate our vending machines by the principles of the first paragraph to give and maintain confidence in our consumers. Because of these, our members contract themselves to the followings:
I.
- They guarantee filling the vending machines with the suitable filling materials, advised by the producer of the machines.
- They keep the hygienic rules of operation and make others keep them, too.
- They do not set the quantity (grams/water) per serving lower than it is given by the manufacturer.
- They start reparation of machines at latest in two weekdays after reporting or detecting failure.
- They meet the official criteria and they offer fresh, hygienic and aesthetic food in the snack and sandwich vending machines.
- They provide the operators and service personnel with written information that is useful for operating and cleaning the machines.
- They give the possibility of taking part in training of refilling organized by HVA.
II.
In order to provide fair competition and widespread usage of the machines and to observe the principles of the Act LXXXVI of 1990 they contract themselves to the followings:
- They do not use techniques that contradict with general ethics or that make the client quit the contract (e.g. taking unfair advantage by using pecuniary means or deception by various means).
- They do not meet with the employee of another member in order to offer a job for him/her.
- They try to avoid all cases that may be disadvantageous for the industry and the Association and that may contradict the mission of it.
- They do not use prices under production costs - not even provisionally.
- In case of judicial problems between members they try to find solution with the contribution of the Board of the Association.
III.
Members are authorized to submit their complaints to the Committee of Conduct. The Committee is liable to investigate the complaint in 30 days after receiving it in writing, and is also liable to inform both parties about the decision. The Committee informs also the members in the next newsletter of the Association, but it do not announces the name of the complainer without the permission of him/her, until it is found out that the complaint was unfounded or malicious.
The Committee of Conduct is liable to give audience to both parties and to ask the accused to compose his remarks and send it in 8 days after the complaint was received. On the basis of the Committee's decision the following sanctions can be taken:
- Expostulation and the announcement of the ethical fault in the Newsletter.
- Payment of extra dues of two months.
- Proposal to the Board about the exclusion from HVA.
- Exclusion (by the Board as it is in the Constitution of HVA)
- Announcement of the complainer's name and the decision if the complaint turns out to be unfounded.
The structure of the Committee of Conduct
The Committee of Conduct consist of a three-member ad-hoc Committee, in which one member is delegated by the Board, on is delegated by the Supervisory Committee and one is elected from the members of HVA for the proposal of the two committees.
Both committees must take incompatibility in the particular case into consideration.
IV.
I am aware of the content, requirements and recommendations of the Code of Conduct compiled by the Hungarian Vending Association and approved by the General Meeting. I consider it obligatory and guarantee keeping them and making others keep them. I take cognisance of the fact that I am authorized to use the logo of HVA only if I accept and keep the rules of the Code of Conduct.
We attach the Code of Conduct to our contracts with our partners as an appendix.
V.
The Code of Conduct is public and accessible by everybody.
